Concrete Structural Analysis

Structural scanning of concrete structures for engineering analysis or confirmation or work requirements

Structural 1

Structural Analysis is often used for engineering assessments to confirm structural attributes for load calculations when changing the use of a building/structure.

Reinforcement patterns, cover, bar size, layering, PT (stressing) cable location and pattern, slab thickness, and beam location and size can all be provided to determine the bearing strength of a structure or to confirm works have been performed as designed.

Concrete cover of reinforcement is becoming more important as concrete cancer (corrosion of reinforcing steel) can render structures unusable or in need of costly repair works.

Voiding due to wet or dry loads of concrete or segregation of the load may be assessed by manual 2D scans or by 3D scanning.

Concrete strength can be assessed by destructive (coring) and non-destructive (Schmidt Hammer) methods.

We have the capacity to perform all aspects of Utility Locating and Concrete Scanning, regardless of size or nature.
